So for those that just got it (as well as others who had it for a while), how is it so far? Is it easy to play (control wise). The rare chest things ok?

from what I've played so far, it's just ok. For a handheld game though, it's pretty good. I'm enticed by the description of more than one city in the game, but I've only found the one so far. from the look of things, this might be the only one I find at all.

Control isn't bad. It's not as versatile as PSO GC, which is a shame. I've not found a quick option menu for weapon switches and item usage. The control scheme set up to Y, B, and A allows you to create a control scheme to your own desire. Pressing R gives the secondary options for the buttons, just like on PSO. Unlike PSO, pressing R and X won't give you the quick menu that I wrote about just now.

Pressing L and a direction on the directional pad will give you dancing manuvers. These are from PSU, and they still manage to look stupid. Pressing L, R, and the directions on the directional pad gives even more dance moves.

Seems to be plenty of quick chat slots to put your own stuff in there. Word Select is limited, unfortunately.

I was surprised that the touch screen function isn't used very much.

That's about it so far. Oh, and Monomates hardly heal at all.

I am playing this right now actually.I like it, but I can't beat the stupid squid which makes me sad.It is an ok game though.

The squid is the hardest boss in the game, in my opinion. When my FOnewm was in the 80s he could solo every SH boss except for the squid, even with 3 Scapes. The main strategy is to have a melee weapon (unless you're a FO, then use Foie) for stage one. Run to a certain side when his tentacle is in the air, then roll right when it's about to land. Whack the tentacle while it's on the ground, and repeat. For his sucking attack, run away so you don't get pulled in, and run sideways as well so you're out of range of his spray, then shoot him while his mouth is open. For Stage 2, you want to be on the stage in a certain place. If the stage were a square, and he was at a corner of it, you don't want to be in the corner where he is and you don't want to be in the corner opposite him. This lets you attack one tentacle at a time while minimizing the risk of getting hit and being able to run away from his sucking attack. Destroy each tentacle this way, and then go for the head. When he does the sucking, run away. If you're int he right position you'll be close to him when he stops sucking, but not in his mouth. You can then deal a large amount of damage to him.

I agree with Robo that the squid is the hardest in the game.I used mechs and destroyed him though.

Actually, the Squid is an Octopus. I call him Lorthos.

Did you use the Mechgun glitch or just use mechguns? Is that glitch even in the US version?

EDIT:Looked around for it and found that it does work just tried it.So cheap.

I thought they might've fixed it, too bad they didn't. It's a very powerful glitch, isn't it? Makes soloing on a RA easy.
