Yes. When in game you can go to a special menu and click on their name to add their FC to your list. I don't know if this works in Free Mode, though.

Also made a slight edit to my post. I said the chat system in Free Mode was like symbol chat, which was incorrect. The chat system is like Word Select, only with a lot less options.

I just found out that DS wifi games are only compatible with the Router Security setting WEP. This will be important for those who have trouble connecting.

This is the main reason why my Wii/DS are back in their boxes I bought them in, if only they'd change that

I don't think its the same for wii. My security setting has been on WPA Personal for a long time and hasn't had any problems.

Dunno why your console would be different - always thought the wii supported WPA right out of the box. At least mines has supported WEP, WPA (both TKIP and AES) and WPA2 (AES) for as long as I can recall. 2 other options for it though - either nintendo's USB wireless dongle or a wired ethernet connection.

Haven't tried it on the BTHomeHub but the old AOL connection used WPA-PSK and that didn't work

All I know is Wii supports WEP and WPA and so does the DSi, but the DS only supports WEP.
